Edition architecture and sacred numbers.

The BERESHIT SERIES consists of exactly 3,000 numbered bottles, from No. 1 to No. 3,000, with no reissues or subsequent productions in the same configuration. Within the edition, certain numbers are considered ‘sacred’ and are reserved for special occasions, philanthropic causes or strategic collectors, reflecting the numerical symbolism deeply rooted in Jewish tradition.

Sacred numbers within the edition.

These numbers receive special treatment in pricing and allocation. Bottle No. 770 is reserved as the ceremonial flagship of the entire edition; the other sacred numbers (7, 18, 26, 72, 77, 108, 613) carry a higher price in the catalogue and may be linked to philanthropic or institutional events.

Ceremonial positioning

Bottle No. 770.

Bottle No. 770 is intentionally positioned not as a standard collector’s item, but as a ceremonial and iconic object designed for a singular event, institution or philanthropic initiative of exceptional importance.

Within the Chabad universe, the number 770 refers directly to 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn — the movement’s global headquarters and the Rebbe’s home. For thousands of families and philanthropists, ‘770’ represents far more than a physical address: it symbolises leadership, teaching and a global spiritual mission. In internal tradition, it is often associated with the concept of the ‘House of the Messiah’, a source of spiritual influence that extends throughout the world.

Reserving Bottle No. 770 as a ceremonial and philanthropic item makes it a direct reference to that legacy. It is not simply a high number within the edition, but a symbolic anchor to the Rebbe’s home and mission.

Philanthropic framework.

  • A defined percentage of the proceeds allocated to a specific cause.
  • Inclusion in a charity gala or institutional milestone.
  • Alignment with long-term charitable initiatives.
